This was a commissioned piece for a couple that has spent many years enjoying the outdoors together. They wanted specifically to have canoeing as the main theme with several other activities highlighted within the art. The canoe is made from western red cedar, the driftwood frame is cedar as well. The black ring is a lazar cut piece of metal with pennies inserted, many with significant dates, birth years etc. Width of canoe is five feet.
